Netherbeck is surrounded by wonderful locations, allowing you to see the natural beauty on offer. 15 miles away sits Kendal, the ‘Gateway to the Lakes’, where you can explore a part of history visiting their 13th Century parish church, which is one of the widest in the country with 5 aisles, and Kendal museum which offers the towns life throughout the ages.

A short drive away, the Silverdale area provides a huge array of exciting exploration opportunities for you and your family to enjoy, from ancient ruins and sandy beaches, you will find something for everyone. Nearby, the Lake District offers numerous events throughout the year to fill your days with, from beautiful walks along the mesmerising landscapes, into forests and waterways, to boat rides along the lakes, providing fun and relaxation for everyone. Netherbeck is located on the outskirts of Carnforth, a small town situated in the northeast of Morecambe Bay. This is a hugely popular area for walkers and cyclists who want to explore the area further. With the Lancaster Canal passing through the town, you can go on a relaxing journey with your family.

Carnforth is famous for the use of the Carnforth Railway Station, being the chosen location for Oscar-winning director, Sir David Lean’s iconic scenes in the 1945 classic film Brief Encounter. You can take your photo under the famous clock, where one of the greatest romantic films of all time took place.

Carnforth also homes the Warton Crag which overlooks the area, and is an ideal location for hiking, climbing and abseiling, where you can discover many of the surrounding villages and beautiful countryside.

The town is home to the North-West’s biggest second-hand bookshop, which stocks more than 100,000 books, plus a selection of new books, toys and gifts, which you can enjoy in any of the numerous cafes and pubs in the area.
