Camping Pods in the Lake District & South Lakes
Why not give ‘glamping’ a go this year by hiring one of our cosy camping pods?
Camping Pods are available at Holgates and can be enjoyed all year round at Silverdale and Bay View Parks. Hollins Farm is open from March until November.
Designed to be comfortable and snug all year round, the pods provide a quirky alternative to spending the night camping in the Lake District under canvas. Constructed from natural timber, our camping pods are insulated with foil and sheep’s wool to help protect from extremes of temperature, making them a more tempting proposition in cooler weather. Enjoy plenty of light and ventilation through the double-glazed french doors and window.
A Comprehensive Camping Experience in the Lake District
All of our camping pods are connected to electricity, and include a sofa which converts into a double bed, a small heater, lighting, curtains to the entrance door and window with a roller blind, and a soft floor covering. Each has a raised patio area extending from the central living space, providing somewhere to sunbathe, prepare food or lose the wet gear before heading inside after a day exploring the outdoors.
All you need to bring is your camping gear - minus the tent! Brilliant if you love camping in the Lake District but crave a little more comfort now and again. Family pods can comfortably fit two adults and two small children. The pods are based in rural areas on our parks to ensure authenticity, so ground can be uneven and at times difficult to reach. We advise all customers to bring the usual utilities required for camping in the Lake District, especially a torch for night-time trips to the facilities and airbeds/mattresses for those parties exceeding two people.
Please Note: Bedding is not supplied and if more than 2 people are occupying the pod you will need to bring extra camping beds. Dogs are not allowed in the pods and we also have a no-smoking policy in all the camping pods.
